Family...

Family...we choose it in our pre-mortal state. I believe we had wonderful relationships with the members of our family and we had high hopes of our upcoming journey to earth. I think we cheered as our parents were married and sealed in the temple, and were so excited and anxious to make the trip. One by one we joined our earthly parents. As we waited our turn we watched intently as our family mad its triumphs and struggled with trials that only this earthly life could bring. Our family is no different...we sat together in our pre-mortal existence and committed to helping each other make it back home. As we arrived, we suffered through things that were not our fault, they were acts that were pushed upon us early in life. These trials all affected us in different ways, but we were each given different strengths and weaknesses and together we can overcome anything. We made that commitment early on, and for a while we stuck to it, helping each other along the way, but somewhere we lost each other. Our family is only strong when we have ALL of the members working together - and I think its time we found each other again. We have all made mistakes, none of which is better or worse than the other. We have all stumbles and struggled, said things we don't really mean. We all have faults, and they are all different. We all need each other and we all need each other to get back home. Money...Doesn't matter - Cars/Houses...Don't matter - Jobs...Don't matter - Things like this don't matter. We are not in competition with one another, we are supposed to be a team. If we really wanted to, with all of the different talents in our family we could create an incredible family business, but we need to come together first...baby steps. We are all broken in one way or another from our common trials, but we are also much stronger because of them.
I know we all have our parts to play in the family. An eternal family is not a right, its a blessing, and we have that blessing. We have to put aside our pride and come back together. We all miss it, and we can have it again only better.
We are getting all the brothers and sisters together at Junkies on Saturday Feb. 16th at 8:00pm. If you have a serious problem with that date, let me know ASAP. Other than that, you have no excuses...don't have a baby sitter? we will find one. Don't have a ride? we will pick you up. Don't have any cloths? We will buy some for you. I don't care what it is we will fix it...no more excuses. I love you all and I need my family to come together again, and stay that way.
